The Latin word “agnōscō” is the perfect descriptor for Dr. Ratio’s life mission: to educate all mortals and work tirelessly towards the betterment of humanity, no matter who has been, or will be, acknowledged by divinity. FAQ
1. What are the zine specifications?Agnosco will be available in ready-to-download PDF format, with fully colored illustrations, comics, and fics. The digital merch package may include printable items, but buyers will not receive any physical items and will not pay any shipping or customs costs.
2. How will contributors be compensated?Contributors will receive a full digital copy and digital merch package of Agnosco at no additional cost. As Agnosco is for charity, we are unable to offer monetary compensation.
3. How old do I need to be to apply?All mods must be 18 or older by the time mod applications open (26 October). Contributors must be 18 or older by the time contributor applications open (28 November).
4. Do I need any zine experience?Definitely not! Applicants will be judged based on the quality of the work in their application.
5. How many contributors will this zine feature?This depends on our interest check and how many applications we receive! We currently hope to accept 5-6 merch artists, 1 cover artist, 20-30 page artists, and 5-8 writers.
6. What are contributors expected to do?Contributors will be expected to create one piece for the zine. If a contributor chooses to be a pinch-hitter, they may create a second piece. Contributors are expected to adhere to the zine’s schedule and conduct themselves appropriately. No generative AI is allowed for the creation of any work featured in the zine.
7. Can I apply for multiple roles?You may apply for multiple roles, but you will only be accepted to one role as a contributor. Mods may hold multiple mod positions.
8. Can I post WIPs or stream my piece?Only cropped WIPs are allowed to be posted. You may stream WIPs within the zine server, but not outside of it.
9. Can I post or sell my finished piece?Contributors retain all rights to their work and may post and/or sell their work freely upon project conclusion.
10. Will there be ship content in this zine?No, Agnosco will not include romantic ships. While applicants may include ship work in their portfolios, all depicted relationships in the zine must be ostensibly platonic, with Dr. Ratio as the focus. However, queer themes are very much welcome!
11. Will there be guests in this zine?Guests will be invited! If they accept, they will fulfill the same role as contributors.
